Love-To-Craft is a directory style Portal providing information and resources for the search engine optimization.

Our intention is to provide the Public with a directory of Crafting andCraft Related Information from around the world.

Do not submit your website to the Love-To-Craft Directory if...

It is under construction.
It is an affiliate program.
It contains nothing more than links to third party websites.
It is difficult to read (9/10px type) or navigate, contains broken links.
It promotes our interpretation of what may not be considered best practices in the Craft Related industry.
It advertises the use of gateway pages, doorway pages, or bridge pages, a practice which may be considered spam by the major search engines and directories as stated in their published guidelines.
It contains language, methods, experience, or pricing structures which maymislead the visitor.
It has little to no meaningful content; one or two pages specific to craftingor craft related, or; contains little to no original content specific to thecrafting industry.
It contains keyword stuffed HTML Comments Tags or anyform of metadata abuse and/or misuse based on our interpretation of the guidelinesset forth by the W3C, WAI, WCAG,andthe DCMI.
Here are a partial list of areas that we arereviewing as part of the process of including websites in the Love-To-Craft Directory.
- Overall Internet Presence
  We are reviewing the general layout structure of websites along with thelook and feel. If youare going to represent the craft related industry, then it is suggested thatyou invest some time in your website first, before promoting your servicesto the public.
- HTML/XHTML/CSS Structure
  We are reviewing the html/xhtml/css of all websites. W3C icons or otherauthoritative industry icons indicating that you've validated your html,xhtml, and/or css are a plus, but not a requirement. If the W3C iconsare displayed on your site, and it does not validate, we will send you onecomplimentary email tocorrect the errors or remove the icons. We suggest you verify validationbefore submitting your website for review.
- General Content
  We are reading actual content. Our reviewers are knowledgeable in the CraftRelated industry and know what they are looking for. Your site should speakthe industry language, and it should be obvious from your home page thatyou are specializing in Craft Related practices. First impressions arelasting impressions! Make sure your content is upto date,we will decline submissions or remove existing members (with advance noticeto correct the issues) if we find content that is outdated (within reason).Last modified dates on pages are a plus, but not a requirement. We highlyrecommend this practice. Consumers are looking for up to date information.
- Google Toolbar™
  We are utilizing the Google Toolbar to check for PageRank™,backwards links, and cached snapshots of pages. We are followingbackwards links to determine who is linking to you and why. If wefind an unusual number of guestbook entries, FFA links, hidden links on websites,and/or techniques used on client sites that may not considered BestPractices in Craft Related,then we may decline your request to be listed in the directory. All Submissions are currently being reviewed by the DirectoryAdministrator within7-10 business days, however for priority placement there is a small $3.00 feewhich will get you listed within 24 hours. FREE listingsare available with reciprocal linking which is verified at time of directoryposting. We also offer a Featured spot for $9.00 which will display yourlink on the front page and every main page in the directory.

The Love-To-Craft Directory reserves the right to temporarily, or permanentlyremove, any member(s) who may violate the above Submission Guidelines and/orour Terms and Conditions of Use. We do perform ongoing reviewsof our members to insure the quality of the directory.

We will send a confirming email to the consultant(s) and/or company(ies) in violation of the above Submission Guidelines explaining the reason for removal. You are entitled to appeal our decision once, and we will give careful consideration to your request.

Admin Note: The above does not apply in instances where we've sent Member Announcements alerting you to possible directory listing removal issues.
